Ras Al Khaimah Center for Statistics and Studies started implementing four simultaneous federal and local surveys in Ras Al Khaimah, namely the Economic Survey for 2017 data, the Quarterly Economic Survey – Q1 2018, Foreign Investment Survey and Commercial Farm Survey 2017. These surveys aim to update the databases of the center with regard to GDP of RAK, specifically the value added of various productive sectors, in addition to collecting accurate and comprehensive data on the main commercial farms in RAK and foreign investment figures. Work on these surveys began in early April 2018, and will continue until the survey of commercial farms is completed by the end of May. Dr Ibrahim Akoum, Executive Director of CSS, said ” these are regular surveys through which we can produce economic indicators that reflect the growth and economic activity of the Emirate, in addition to the necessary statistical data used by decision-makers, the business community, researchers and others.
