In line with its strategy to strengthen its ties with statistical centers at the local and regional level, a delegation from Ras Al Khaimah Center for Statistics and Studies visited the Gulf Cooperation Council Statistics Center (GCCSTAT) in its headquarter in Muscat, Oman. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, RAK CSS Chairman, and Dr. Akoum, RAKCSS Executive Director met with Mr. Sabir Al Harbi, Director General of GCC STAT and other GCCSTAT managers and discussed issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, Dr. Al Naqbi and Dr. Akoum introduced RAKCSS, its mandate and work program. Mr. Al Harbi outlined the work program of GCC STAT and its mandate in promoting statistical efforts at the GCC level. The two sides agreed on cooperating in a number of areas of mutual interest.
