RAK Center for Statistics and Studies (RAKCSS) participated in the United Arab Emirates\u2019 delegation that attended the 49th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) held during 6-9 March 2018 at the UN headquarters in New York. Dr. Ibrahim Akoum, Executive Director of RAKCSS, who was a member of the delegation, stated that the annual sessions and meetings of the UNSC and UNSD are considered the main events at the international level aimed at developing the global statistical system. Participation at these sessions and deliberations is an important opportunity to keep abreast of developments in this area and benefit from other countries\u2019 and various statistical Centers\u2019 experiences and best practices in statistical efforts.
